Welcome to my Reflection Web Site. I started painting with watercolors in my mid-twenties.  I have never taken any art courses but had learned to paint through osmosis from watching my father, who was taken under the tutelage of the late but great Gordon Peters (O.S.A., C.S.P.W.C., A.W.S).

The first watercolor painting book I picked up was Landscapes, by Zoltan Szabo and then later on I started to view Sterling Edwards works. Both resources have been invaluable to me to find out who I was as a painter and I continue to grow.

My main painting focus has always been Northern Ontario and then later in life, Newfoundland.  With a very busy life outside of the painting world, getting married and having two children, I have always tried to find the time to keep the paint flowing from the brush to paper.

Please see attached a sampling of my works.  Some have found new homes to live in and some of them have a designated home already as set out by my daughter when she would say  "that is a keeper".

The section titled Photos to Life explains further the process how my paintings come to life and how they are initially formed.

Hope you enjoy.

Best regards,

Ron Vickers
